Fitness People Who Have Inspired Me

We all have role models we want to aspire to be in life, people that motivate us to be better in life and in certain areas. Throughout my fitness journey I’ve learned a lot and made many mistakes, these people are part of the reason I’m able to do what I do today. Fully recommend following all these people and keep up with their latest content. I’ll put links to them all at the end of each of them.

James Smith - Probably the latest person I’ve discovered but someone who’s had the most impact in my life. I’ve read his first book ‘Not a Diet Book’ and if you’re someone who just wants to increase their fitness knowledge and debunk a few fitness myths this book will help you tremendously. It’s something where I get a lot of my ideas for my blogs from and implemented a few of his suggestions in my life. It’s not just a book about fitness but have a few good lifestyle guru tips in their as well (also written a second book ‘Not a Life Coach’ which is due to be released at the end of 2020). I’ve always struggled with books but his was one I couldn’t put down and found it a really easy read. After his book I went onto other things he does (podcasts and videos).

Mattdoesfitness - Super entertaining fitness related content. I love food, and it’s quite clear Matt does too with a few calorie challenges in his YouTube videos. He’s a Youtuber who also includes sketches (with his son Luca, legend) and fitness challenges such as attempting various Military fitness tests.

Jeff Nippard - Informative and really nicely edited, so someone who knows how much work goes in can appreciate the aesthetics. Debunked a few myths that I previously thought were true. I also make sure I put him in the additional sources section in the blog if he’s posted similar content. This is because with everything he claims he’ll back it up with science literature and link the studies he’ll be talking about. Know’s his stuff, so I’ve found its always a reliable source of information.

Athlean X - As someone who’s always enjoyed sports being athletic has always been an important part of training, the thing I enjoy about Jeff is that he’s always look for the most optimum training. Majority of us don’t have an abundant about of time to spend working out so selecting the best exercises and performing them correctly is critical to our development. He’s also a physiotherapist which means any advice will be beneficial to decreasing injury risk. I’ve had many injuries over the years and I know when i’m injured my mood can deflate and I won’t stick with my good habits.

Buff Dudes - A duo who provide entertaining fitness related content to YouTub. My favourite is how they do with certain diets/lifestyles and how it effects their bodies, mood, day to day life & training. It really opens up people to the benefits and flaws to each style and at the end it boils down that everyone prefers something different and what works for one might not work for someone else.

Picture Fit - Informative information presented in an easy to follow along manner. This was one of the first YouTubers I began to watch who provided science based information. This is because it was shown in such a way I was interested in keeping on watching and not bored/confused after 30 seconds. Overtime I saw my fitness knowledge developing and I was able to gain a greater understanding of the fitness industry.

There you have it, if you want to increase your knowledge and be entertained with regards fitness & health keep up to date with all these people. I have no doubt that they’ll continue to provide awesome content in the future and they’ll keep on inspiring me to continually improve my content that I put out.

Hope you all have an awesome week!

Thanks

Cameron
